Destiny Reyes earned her J.D. from Cornell Law School, where she served as an Editor of the International Law Journal, Vice President & External Communications Officer of the Cornell Law Student Association, and Chair of the Moot Court Diversity Committee. During this time, she honed her research, writing, and negotiation skills, while garnering recognition for her advocacy through quarterfinalist honors in the Langfan Moot Court Competition and competing in the prestigious VIS International Commercial Arbitration program. Her academic foundation also includes a magna cum laude B.A. in Philosophy and an Honors B.A. in English with a pre-law focus from Rollins College, where she was named a U.S. Fulbright Scholar, Presidential Scholar, and earned membership in the ODK Honor Society. Throughout her studies, she demonstrated an early commitment to public service, collaborating on grassroots democracy initiatives and assisting in the creation of refugee resettlement programs.
Prior to founding Reyes Law, Destiny Reyes practiced in the restructuring groups of premier international law firms in New York City, representing both debtors and creditors in complex chapter 11 proceedings. She drafted critical pleadings, negotiated high-stakes agreements, and conducted extensive legal research on cutting-edge issues. Her experience includes advising clients through intricate negotiations, conducting detailed fact investigations, and preparing thorough strategic analyses. In addition, she has contributed to pro bono efforts ranging from innocence project intakes to advising nonprofit organizations on reimagining their funding structures.
This breadth of experience—spanning sophisticated business law, sensitive financial matters, and impactful public service—now informs Destiny Reyes’ approach to estate planning. She understands that every family is unique, every legacy personal, and every goal deserving of a tailored strategy. Her practice focuses on helping clients safeguard their assets, minimize tax burdens, and ensure a lasting legacy for future generations.
